Akane Nagata is a lecturer at the Research Center for Classical Performing Arts, Kobe Women's University, Japan, where she conducts surveys and research focusing on historical aspects of Noh and Kyogen. Nagata has published studies on aikyogen (interval narratives) scripts and Edo period fan designs.
