Biography
Alanoud al-Sharekh is a Strategic Advisor at Kuwait National Security Bureau. She has been a Visiting Fellow on GCC Demographics at the London Middle East Institute, SOAS, a Senior Fellow for Regional Politics and Geo-Economic Security at the IISS (International Institute for Strategic Studies) and Visiting Lecturer at SOAS. She has published various books and articles and was a Fulbright Scholar on the Visiting Scholar from the Islamic World Programme. She has PhD in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from SOAS. She is a Co-director and founder of Abolish 153, a campaign to fight honour killing legislation in Kuwait and the GCC
