Andrew Nestingen

Biography

Andrew Nestingen is a Professor of Scandinavian Studies and adjunct in Cinema Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. He is the author of many books and articles, including Crime and Fantasy in Scandinavia (2008) and The Cinema of Aki Kaurismäki (2013), and the editor of the series New Directions in Scandinavian Studies. He teaches courses on Nordic literature and film, as well as a course on Tove Jansson. He is at work on a book about memoirs of travel comparing the Nordic countries and the U.S.
