Biography
Beth Johnson is Associate Professor in Film and Media at the University of Leeds, UK. She was awarded a Leverhulme Fellowship in 2013 for a research project into the transnational success, style and socio-politics of the television series Shameless (Channel 4, 2004-2013; Showtime, 2011-). She is the author of a monograph on the works of television auteur Paul Abbott (2013).
