Biography

Brandon Tensley is the inaugural national politics reporter at Capital B, a first-of-its-kind local-national nonprofit newsroom for Black audiences where he covers the impact of policy and political movements on Black people in America. Previously, Brandon was a national political writer at CNN, where he covered the intersection of culture, identity, and politics and wrote Race Deconstructed, CNN’s newsletter about race and equality. Brandon’s culture writing has been published in The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The Los Angeles Review of Books, among others. He is based in Washington, D.C.
