Biography
Dr. Chris Sweigart is a regional special education consultant and the creator of Limened, a resource-rich website designed to help teachers support students facing academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges. He has spent his career working with at-risk youth, including those navigating mental health disorders, academic failure, homelessness, and involvement with the juvenile justice system. Chris currently trains, coaches, and supports educators across 14 school districts in Kentucky, equipping them with evidence-based strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. His professional background spans roles such as a teacher of students with emotional and behavioral disorders, director of outreach at a community youth center, and coordinator for a transitional housing and mentoring program for youth and young adults with disabilities. Chris holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Special Education from the University of Louisville, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. He is the author
of a previous book on behavior and relationships, and brings a practical, teacher-friendly approach to translating research into real-world classroom practices.
