David Orr is Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Central Lancashire, UK. He set up the online Hillsborough disaster archive for the Centre for Studies in Crime and Social Justice, and worked on the ESRC-funded Violence Project. His research focuses on the development of prisons and criminal justice in 19th-century England and Wales.
