Eric Paul Roorda retired from Bellarmine University after thirty years of teaching. He wrote The Dictator Next Door: U.S. Relations with the Trujillo Regime in the Dominican Republic, 1930-45, and edited The Dominican Republic Reader: History, Politics, Culture.
