Biography

Gábor Gergely is Associate Professor of Film at the University of Lincoln, UK, where he works on Central and Eastern European cinema’s ideological, aesthetic and technological entanglements with a globalized screen culture. He has published on postwar antisemitism and Holocaust films, Hungarian cinema in the early sound film period, European émigré actors in Hollywood and European cinema through a de-westernizing framework.
