Jacopo Bonetto
Biography
Jacopo Bonetto is Full Professor of Classical Archaeology at the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Padua, Italy. His interests are focused on the study of Phoenician, Greek and Roman settlements in the Mediterranean. He has directed archaeological research in Aquileia, Nora (Sardinia), Gortyna in Crete (Greece), Pompeii and has published some monographs and over three hundred papers in national and international journals and edited volumes. He is the Principal Investigator of the World Class Research Infrastructure ‘Sycuri’ and of other projects carried out with Italian Superintendencies and Public and private Bodies at national and international level. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum in Rome.
