Jared Bly defended his PhD in Philosophy at Villanova University in 2023. It concerned a dialectical materialist account of photography. He researches materialist aesthetics as well as anti-imperialism and development issues in the Global South. He has translated texts from French, including Patrick Vauday’s The Invention of the Visible (2017).
