Kasimir Sandbacka

Biography

Kasimir Sandbacka is a literary scholar at the University of Oulu, Finland, and an Adjunct Professor of Literature at the University of Jyväskylä. His research focuses on contemporary Finnish literature from the perspectives of late modernism, postmodernism, and metamodernism, as well as the temporal longings related to modernity, such as nostalgia, melancholy, and utopia. His publications include Metamodernismi (co-editor, 2024), Utopia Derailed: Rosa Liksom's Retrospection of the Modern Project (2017), as well as several articles on Tove Jansson.
