Biography
Mandy Talpas is a bird tour leader based in Hawaii. She has dedicated her life to avian conservation, via a degree at East Stroudsburg University followed by postgraduate work with the Ornithology lab at Villanova University. This saw her conducting research on macaws in Peru, and later to study tropical ecology in Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. She went on to become a bird guide on Hawaii, where she is also a field technician for Pacific Rim Conservation.
