Biography

Mehrdad Kia is Professor of Middle Eastern and North African history and director of the Central and Southwest Asian Studies Center at the University of Montana, USA. He is author of The Persian Empire: A Historical Encyclopedia [2 volumes] (2016), The Ottoman Empire: A Historical Encyclopedia [2 volumes] (2017), and The Ottoman Empire (2002).
