Michael Baumgartner is Professor of Musicology at Cleveland State University, USA. He is the author of Music in Jean-Luc Godard’s Cinema (2022) and Exilierte Göttinnen (2012). Together with Ewelina Boczkowska, he is also the co-editor of Music, Collective Memory, Trauma, and Nostalgia in European Cinema after the Second World War (2021) and Music, Authorship, Narration, and Art Cinema in Europe (2024).
