Biography

Nigel Llewellyn is Head of Research at Tate, UK. He taught at the University of Sussex, UK, for many years where he served as Dean and Pro-Vice-Chancellor. He is the author of Funeral Monuments in Post-Reformation England (2009) and The Art of Death: Visual Culture in the English Death Ritual, c.1500-1800 (1991).
