Biography

Paloma E. Villegas, Ph.D., is an associate professor of Critical Migration Studies in the Department of Sociology at California State University, San Bernardino. Her work examines the operation of borders and the intersections between immigration status, race, and gender. She is also an interdisciplinary artist. Her book North of El Norte: Illegalized Mexican Migrants in Canada was published in 2020 by UBC Press.
