Peter Wicke wasProfessor of the Theory and History of Popular Music and retirement Director of the Research Centre for Popular Music at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, until his retirement in 2016. He is one of the founding members of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM).
