Biography

Rebekka Kricheldorf was born in Freiburg and studied Romance Languages at Humboldt University in Berlin and playwriting at the Berlin University of Arts. From 2009 to 2011, she was author-in-residence at the Theaterhaus Jena. She has written numerous commissioned works for various theatres, including the Staatstheater Kassel and the Deutsches Theater Göttingen. She has received numerous grants and awards, including the Audience Prize of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt, the Kleist Sponsorship Prize, and the Kassel Prize for comic literature, as well as several invitations to Mülheim Theatre Festival. In 2020 she wrote her first novel, Lustprinzip (Pleasure Principle.) She lives in Berlin.
