Rhonda Gibson is a Professor and Director of the journalism master’s program in the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill (USA). She teaches writing, reporting, and the application of psychology to communication. Her scholarly research examines public discourse related to LGBTQ+ issues. After teaching hundreds of journalism students over the years, she still feels a spark of pride every time she sees one of their bylines in the Daily Tar Heel.
