Richard Griffiths O.B.E. has enjoyed a long and glittering career as an actor on stage and screen. His many credits include Private Peaceful, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, five films in the Harry Potter franchise, The History Boys and Withnail & I. For the stage play of The History Boys he was awarded the Tony Award, Olivier Award, Critics Circle Award, Evening Standard Award, and Variety Club Awards for Best Actor.
