Riikkamari Muhonen is director of the Finnish Culture and Science Institute FinnAgora, Budapest, Hungary. She defended her PhD in comparative history in the Central European University, Austria, in 2022, and has worked as an Assistant Professor at the American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyztan.
