Biography

Salim Yaqub is Professor of History at UC Santa Barbara, US, where he teaches US foreign relations, especially US involvement in the Middle East. He is the author of Containing Arab Nationalism: The Eisenhower Doctrine and the Middle East (2004), Imperfect Strangers: Americans, Arabs, and US–Middle East Relations in the 1970s (2016), and Winds of Hope, Storms of Discord: The United States since 1945 (2023).
