Tommaso Villa is an independent scholar who specialises in sports fiction, contemporary American literature, and neoliberalism, UK. He completed his PhD at the University of Lincoln in 2024, examining the depiction of hyper-professional sports training in contemporary American fiction. His research articles have featured in Aethlon and Arizona Quarterly, and he has an upcoming piece in C21. He is currently editing a collection of essays on women athletes in the contemporary arts.
