Biography

Dr. Vanita Datta is an expert in peace, security, civil-military coordination, and organizational transformation, with extensive experience advising policymakers, academics, and civil society practitioners. Her work spans two decades, including Headquarters and field-based experience in conflict-affected environments at the local, national, regional, and multilateral levels. She currently teaches and consults with public and private entities, engaging academics, organizations, and civil society practitioners to strengthen the links among research, policy, and practice in global risk, national security, and good governance. She holds two master’s degrees from Lesley University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a doctorate from University College London. She regularly contributes to scholarly journals and policy discussions within her areas of expertise.
