Varvara Sklez is pursuing a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Warwick. Her PhD research project ‘Aesthetics of Effort: Performing the Difficult Past in Contemporary Russian Theatre’ focuses on performances of memory and resistance in contemporary Russian theatre.
