There are not many books in English on Chinese Business law. This book istherefore particularly welcome as it provides a comprehensive and up-to-date analysis of the most recent developments in business law in China.
The distinct background, expertise and language skills of [the] authors also make this book stand out in terms of clarity of expression in English and the extent to which it deals with even the most recent legal reforms, given the rapidity with which they occur.
There are Chinese and English translations of a number of key legal terms to be found in the text. This is most welcome as it helps to avoid potential misunderstanding and confusion.
This collection of essays is well researched and clearly presented. The comprehensive nature of this book is quite remarkable and as such is a very welcome addition to bookshelves of libraries, offices and studies. As a much-needed book on Chinese business law, it represents a significant contribution to its understanding as well as to Chinese law in general. IT is therefore undoubtedly invaluable to academics who are interested in Chinese law and comparative law studies, and to practitioners in many foreign jurisdictions who advise their clients on issues in relation to Chinese business law or who are active participants in business enterprises. Its role as a vital reference book should not be understated...Dr Fang Ma, International Company and Commercial Law Review, Volume 21, Issue 9
