Description
Amid growing geopolitical uncertainties, sharpening geo-economic fault lines, growing military budgets and unsettling alliances, the sheer absence of leadership from the so called world leaders poses a fundamental challenge to the post WWII global order. For New Delhi, the challenge compounded due to the presence of nuclear armed antagonistic neighbours and their active support to anti-India forces inside and outside
India.
Notwithstanding, the external challenges and opportunities followed their own trajectory from Israel to Indonesia and Asia kept gaining strategic weight in global hierarchy. In recent years, India too has shed its institutional and implementation inhibitions and started to reclaim its political, technological and even spiritual mojo. On the other hand, even as rapidly evolving developments from Ukraine to Israel to China and the US continue to shake the world in domains from territorial sovereignty frameworks to AI supremacy, the Asian resurgence maintains its resilience. That 21st century is going to be Asia's century is increasingly becoming clear from East Asia's successes in high-tech ecosystem and South Asia's growing economic integration to West Asia's turn towards religious and political moderation.
