The book Neoliberalism and Global Insecurities: Thinking Resilience/Resistance in Turkey edited by Rasim Özgür Dönmez brings very thoughtful insights into contemporary Turkey. Although it mostly refers to Justice and Development Party, the analyses reach beyond the current ruling group and outline the suppression coming from neo-liberal and neo-conservative dominance which predate Erdogan's regime. All in all, this book is a must-read to gain a greater understanding of current developments in Turkey and the societal and political forces driving them.
