Description
This edited collection affirms the joy of engaging theologically in an interdisciplinary dialogue from a Nordic perspective.
In tribute to Danish Professor of Systematic Theology Niels Henrik Gregersen (1956-), editors Bo Kristian Holm, Else-Marie Wiberg Pedersen, and Mikkel Gabriel Christoffersen, and their contributors affirm that interdisciplinary dialogue as a fundamental avenue for theology to reach the world. Organized around five key dialogues (Theology and Culture, Theology and Philosophy, Theology and Sociology, Theology and Politics, Theology and Science), the essays herein revitalize conversations of theology and interdisciplinarity begun by Gregersen. By tapping into ongoing discussions of the role of interdisciplinarity within theology, this edited collection book affirms that the spirit of Nordic Lutheranism has something specific to offer to the global theological dialogue.
