Elite Transformations

In this dynamic period of research on elites, we have seen much important new work- especially focusing on how changes in elite composition, internal networks, and normative codes affect changes in regimes, public policies, and structures of social and political stratification. The aim of this series is to bring theoretical rigor and wide comparative scope to the study of elite transformations. It includes books on elite theory, emerging elites, the roles of elites in democratic and other kinds of regimes, how elites are linked to mass publics, as well as comparative analyses of elites in different world regions.
