People, Passions, and Power: Social Movements, Interest Organizations, and the P

This series explores the people, activities, and institutions that animate the political process. The series emphasizes recent changes in that process-new actors, movements, strategies, successes (or failures) to enter the political mainstream or influence everyday politics-and places these changes in context with the past and the future. Books in the series combine high-quality scholarship with accessibility so that they may be used as core or supplementary texts in upper division political science, sociology, and communication studies courses. The series is consciously interdisciplinary and encourages cross-discipline collaboration research.
