The T&T Clark Studies in Orthodox Theology is committed to preserving Christian Tradition while showing its depth and beauty in light new historical development. In doing so, it aims to follow in the footsteps of varied writers such as Justin the Martyr, Irenaeus of Lyon, Ephrem the Syrian, Maximus the Confessor, Ghenadius Scholarius, Philaret of Moscow, Alexey Khomiakov, Vladimir Lossky, John Zizioulas and Dumitru Staniloae. The Eastern Orthodox theological heritage has an incredible richness and vibrancy. Extending across more than two thousand years, it includes a polyphony of voices coming from an array of cultural backgrounds. This series includes studies in systematic, constructive, fundamental, philosophical, biblical and moral theology. Its entries aim to draw on Eastern Orthodox sources & figures or employ innovative methodologies in order to examine Eastern Orthodox sources or theological loci. Ultimately, it seeks to unearth the hidden richness of Eastern Orthodoxy and show its relevance for contemporary theological debates.
