The thing that I thought was awesome about this book was that when the cooperating teachers and I were having our conferences about the student teachers and their lessons, the cooperating teachers would often reply, "I just read about this in my textbook." While taking an online university course for supervising teachers, I had the privilege of utilizing the text Supervising Student Teachers. The title is a fitting one, as the text is professional yet practical and covers every imaginable circumstance from both the supervising and student teachers' roles. The case studies were especially beneficial as they created an opportunity to see the teaching profession from all viewpoints, making them relevant and applicable. The perspective that a joint effort from both the student and supervising teacher, in order to experience growth and development, is imperative and was present throughout the readings. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the highest, I rate Supervising Student Teachers an eleven, as it is a practical and outstanding reference for beginning to veteran teachers.
