Dickens' Christmas classic is given an unusual twist in this new musical version. Scrooge's nephew, a social reformer fired up by the inequalities he has witnessed, narrates the magical story of his uncle's transformation for his family on Christmas Eve, as perhaps Dickens himself might have done. This gives a fresh perspective on an oft-told story, while maintaining the much-loved tradition of the original.
The score combines carols with songs created by settingspecially written lyrics to favourite tunes by great composers. The musical can be staged either by a small group of actor-musicians, or with a company of over twenty actors, making it perfect for schools and community groups looking for a new angle on a festive favourite.
