Brian W. Sturm is a Professor in the School of Information and Library Science, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. He has been a professional storyteller for over 30 years. He has published many journal articles and book chapters, and his Storytelling World–award-winning co-authored book with Margaret Read MacDonald, Storytellers Sourcebook: A Subject, Title, and Motif Index to Folklore Collections for Children (2001), remains the definitive reference index of children’s folktales.
