Biography

Elizabeth Filippouli is a journalist, writer and social entrepreneur. Through her work over the last twenty years she has been promoting international collaboration and also amplifying the voices of women from diverse backgrounds, bringing to light their powerful and often untold stories. As of 2011 she is the Founder of Global Thinkers Forum, an international non-profit platform incubated at Oxford’s Said Business School to promote women's empowerment and youth development through mentoring. In parallel to her social business, she works on stories and plays that highlight critical political and social issues, sparking conversation and reflection. Her play ‘Alexander the Great-Between Dreams and Imagination’ was produced for the British Library in London in February 2023. She is the author of From Women to the World: Letters for a New Century (2021). She lives in London, UK.
