Gaura Narayan, Associate Professor of English at Purchase College, is the author of Real and Imagined Women in British Romanticism (Peter Lang 2010) and articles on Midnight Children, Kim, A Passage to India, Ghalib, colonial India, immigrant belonging, Phoolan Devi, and Orlando. Her current project is on colonial India (1757-1857).
