Biography
Janis Fitzsimmons, PhD has taught at North Central College (NCC) since 1985 where she received the college’s Dissinger Award for excellence in teaching and performance of a job above and beyond the call of duty. In addition to her teaching duties, she is the founder and executive director of the NCC Junior/Senior Scholars Program, the Promise Teacher Corps and the Urban Education Laboratory, which she currently directs.
