Kathleen W. Taylor Kollman is Visiting Assistant Professor of Media, Journalism, and Film, Global and Intercultural Studies at Miami University in Ohio, USA, where she teaches courses in media and communication, women’s studies, and American studies. Previously, Kollman taught at Wright State University and The Ohio State University. She received an M.F.A. in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University in 2015. In addition to her scholarly work, she writes speculative fiction and has had multiple novels and short stories appear in print. Her articles and reviews have been published in edited collections on the TV shows Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Severance, the history of fantasy novels, and in the journals Rock Music Studies, The Journal of Dracula Studies, The Journal of American Culture, and The Popular Culture Studies Journal. Kollman is currently co-editing a collection on popular romance fiction for Rowman & Littlefield.
