Richard D. Axtell

Richard D. Axtell is Emeritus Professor of Religion at Centre College of Kentucky, USA, where he taught for 30 years. Axtell also taught at the UNESCO International MA Program in Peace and Development Studies at Universitat Jaume I, Castellon, Spain. He was Director of Louisville United Against Hunger and case manager with unhoused men in Louisville, publishing on day labor, public housing and homelessness. Axtell's lifelong study of poverty, development, and violence includes experience in 20 developing countries.
