Sandra Hirsh, PhD, is special assistant to the provost for AI initiatives at San José State University, USA. She is a past president of the Association for Library and Information Science Education and the Association for Information Science & Technology. She is 2025–2026 Chair of the ALA International Relations Round Table and is serving a second term on the IFLA Section on Education and Training Standing Committee. She co-founded and co-chaired the global virtual Library 2.0 conference series (https://www.library20.com/).
