Sarah Trott is Senior Lecturer in American Studies and History at York St John University, UK. Her research interests lie at the intersection of popular culture, history, and social/traumatic memory, with a focus on the psychological impact of trauma upon US culture. Her monograph, War Noir: Raymond Chandler and the Detective as Veteran in American Fiction (2016) examines war trauma in the work of US crime fiction author Raymond Chandler.
