Zsuzsa Csergo

Biography

Zsuzsa Csergo is Sir Edward Peacock Professor in Nationalism and Democracy Studies at Queen’s University, Canada. She has published widely on nationalism, kin-state politics, minority politics, and the impact of European integration in Central and Eastern Europe. Her publications include: Talk of the Nation: Language and Conflict in Romania and Slovakia (Cornell University Press, 2007); Europeanization and Minority Political Agency in Post-Communist Europe (Routledge, 2018), co-edited with Ada Regelmann; Central and East European Politics (5th edition, Rowman & Littlefield, 2021), co-edited with Daina Eglitis and Paula Pickering. She has been a Fernand Braudel Senior Fellow at the European University Institute, and a visiting scholar at the University of Graz, Central European University, and the European Center for Minority Issues.
