I wish I had this book when I was doing my Ph.D; it would have been so helpful. The Table of Contents, Dos and Don’ts, timelines, and checklists serve as a way of staying focused and keeping on track. Hammond and Lester explain complex concepts in simple terms, such as validity, hypotheses, and research design. Talking about the relationship among student, chair, and committee was key as was your encouragement throughout the entire book. This covered everything; I can’t think of anything left out.
