Uniting ideas with action, Cuomo sees the harmful disconnect between the "thinkers" of academia and the "doers" of grassroots activism. Where most writers stop, Cuomo continues to delve into uncomfortable places that blur the boundary of "right" and "wrong". She doesn't allow herself to stop searching the vast expanse of multiple truths, even in moments of embarrassment and self-consciousness. Her voice is different, and in many ways reassuring.
