The five-volume Singer's Repertoire covers 8,200 songs for nine voice classifications. Volume five contains annotations (suitable for use as program notes) for more than 1,000 of the listed songs and arias. Basic information about the styles and vocal contributions of some of the more significant composers is also included. The notes are organized alphabetically by composer and then by title. This is the first paperback edition of a volume originally published in 1962.
