Description
Thinking in English represents Dr. Muciaccia’s unique method of teaching English to non-native English speakers. Unlike any other English as a Second Language (ESL) book, Muciaccia’s book features the “cultural immersion” approach that he has developed and practiced to a fine degree. In addition to his methodology, Muciaccia includes words of encouragement and reviews from people who have benefited from his approach to teaching and learning English.

I have taught ESL in the Palisades Park Public School System for the last 18 years and previously in the Jersey City, New Jersey school system for eight years and was intrigued to read Thinking In English by Dr. John Muciaccia. In fact, it was difficult to put this book down once I started reading it.
Thinking In English presents an intelligent and refreshing way of teaching ESL. Dr. Muciaccia presents his own view of the cultural immersion method and I found it a wonderful perspective.
The book is filled with examples and anecdotes that explain everything mentioned in the book. I urge ESL teachers and self-learners to buy this book!Ebet Diaz, M.A. Bilingual Education (Spanish/English), M.A. Special Education

Thinking In English gives the reader a unique and refreshing view of methods to teach ESL adult students. It looks at the job from a different perspective that happens to be student and teacher friendly. I strongly recommend that you incorporate Dr. Muciaccia’s book into your curriculum.
