Biography
Anand Teltumbde is a prominent Indian scholar, writer, and civil rights activist. In 2018, he was implicated in the Elgar Parishad–Bhima Koregaon case and spent thirty-one months in prison before being released on bail in November 2022.
A prolific author and public intellectual, he has written over thirty books, many of which have been translated into several Indian languages. He is also a regular contributor to Economic and Political Weekly, Outlook, Frontline, The Caravan, The Wire, and Scroll, as well as national dailies including Indian Express, Hindu, and Times of India.
