ANTHONY M. MESSINA is Associate Professor at The Helen Kellogg Institute for International Studies, University of Notre Dame. Professor Messina has written extensively on ethnic minorites, including his co-edited Ethnic and Racial Minorities in Advanced Industrial Democracies (Greenwood Press, 1992).
